Joanna Marchi is a photojournalist who grew up in the South of France before moving to Belgium. In September 2017, she graduated with a master’s degree in journalism. Two years later, she exhibits for the first time in Perpignan, In France, as part of the « Festival Off » of Visa pour l’Image.

In 2021, Joanna caught the « polar virus » during her first expedition cruise to the North Pole as a photographer. Since then, she has been spending her time between the Arctic and Antarctic, perfecting her art of wildlife photography and developing strong ties with Inuit communities.

In 2023, she won first prize in the Wildlife and Animals category of the Annual Photography Award.

Now represented by the Zeppelin Agency, Joanna also devote part of her work to documenting ancestral crafts and family traditions that are disappearing, preserving their memory through her reports.

Having kept her passion for film photography, Joanna continues to practice this art as well.
