Journalist and photographer with a master’s degree in journalism, Joanna creates work that combines reporting, documentary photography, and storytelling.

Joanna began specializing in the polar regions following her first expedition to the North Pole in 2021, which marked the beginning of many journeys across the Arctic and Antarctica. Her work combines wildlife photography, field reporting, and encounters with local populations, particularly the Inuit communities in Greenland.

In 2023, she won first prize in the Wildlife and Animals category of the Annual Photography Award.

Joanna dedicates part of her work to documenting traditional livelihoods, skills, and family traditions that are in danger of disappearing. Through her reporting and photography, she seeks to help preserve these practices by giving a voice to those who keep them alive.

She also maintains a strong passion for film photography, continuing to explore the medium alongside her photographic work.
